FOLLOWING FURTHER MEETINGS WITH LA POBLA DE VALLBONA COUNCIL, THEY HAVE ASSURED US THAT THEIR REASONS FOR TAKING OVER WERE NOT FOR FINANCIAL GAIN AND IT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT THEY WOULD HAVE CHOSEN TO RUN DUE TO THE ADDED WORKLOAD FOR THE COUNCIL.
AS THEY HAVE TOTALLY DESTROYED THE CARBOOT AND IMPLIMENTED RULES WHICH  EXCLUDE "CARBOOTERS" , WE REQUESTED THEREFORE THAT THE CARBOOT BE CLOSED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT, AS THIS WOULD SOLVE THEIR PROBLEM, AND OUR PROBLEM OF PEOPLE TRAVELLING GREAT DISTANCES TO FIND THAT THE CARBOOT NO LONGER EXISTS
THIS REQUEST WAS MET WITH A STRONG NEGATIVE RESPONCE.........WHY?

There are two sites which we are considering, and talks with landowners and Local Councils will start this week. This could be a lengthy process, but regular updates will be posted here as soon as we have them.

Neil and I would like to thank everyone for their e-mails and calls of support along with suggestions of new venues. This is very encouraging, many thanks.

WHILST WE HAVE THE PERMISSION FROM THE MAYOR AND THE COUNCIL SECRETARY OF LA POBLA DE VALLBONA COUNCIL, ONE INDIVIDUAL ON THE COUNCIL HAS DECIDED HE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THE RASTRO / MARKET OVER, RUN IT UNTIL THE FORTHCOMING ELECTIONS AND THEN PUT IT OUT TO TENDER. EXPECTING CARBOOT-LLIRIA TO CONTINUE TO ADVERTISE AND PROMOTE IT, WHILST THEY COLLECT THE MONEY!!!
(But they will allow us to bid for our own business!!)

 In 2006 the council asked us to move site onto council land.

We were pleased to be able to do this as the old site was too small and our growth was creating horrific traffic problems.
Within 3 weeks of trading at the new site we had doubled in size.  fantastic!!!

Out of the blue.............................................
One councillor from La Pobla De Vallbona council,  decided to take over the running of the market and insisted that all carbooters, people selling second-hand items, and recycling unwanted goods, (much better than flytipping we think!!) to be registered as a business therefore paying N.I stamp and full income tax. This is not the case in any other Rastro in the country.

                                           This is totally unacceptable to CARBOOT-LLIRIA, 
                                        our traders, all carbooters and naturally all our visitors.

Pol. MAS DE TOUS                 

Normas para solicitar un puesto en el Mercadillo ambulante de los domingos en el pol. Mas deTous.

Para ejercer la venta ambulante y optar a un puesto en el mercadillo en el ejercicio 2007 en esta poblacion necesita aportar la siguiente documentacion:

A.- Certificado de hacienda como que figura de alta en IAE y en cualquier caso el certificado de exencion del mismo.

B.- Recibo de Autonomo del ultimo mes. En caso de pertenecer a una Cooperativa de Comerciantes fotocopia del TC-2 y recibo del ultimo mes.

C.- Copia del Registro General de Comerciantes, en caso de pertenecer a una cooperativa de Comerciantes. sera la persona juridica la que debera estar inscrita.

D.- Fotocopia del DNI. o permiso de residencia en vigor.

Cada persona tendra que dejar limpio el sitio que ocupa, recoger los papeles y cartones y colocarlos en una bolsa de basura.

Para un buen funcionamiento del mercado, todos los puestos tendran que tener domiciiiados los recibos mensuaies.
